Hello Sara and Aankit! I am trying to fill in the summer camps preference form but I only see ten names in the drop down menu. I type my name but still no show 🤷‍♂️. Any hint? Thank you!

I liked the storytelling format of the resource. I find it makes more attractive teachers and students experiences as they come together much better than from a list of tech use pros and cons.

I think that all, or at least many, resources or tech tools may be disempowering or empowering, depending on how and when they are used. For example,…[Read more]

There is lot to digest here about equitable CITE pedagogies! I like that the goals include different dimensions from the personal to the institutional, and consider the experience through the process (e.g., joy, meaning, well-being). I found the selected “moves” useful as a framework to keep in mind when designing a course, an activity, a cur…[Read more]

Update! I tried Loopy using a course development model to test is. I think it works very well for simple models/circuits/workflows. Check it out here

I’ve checked Canva, Miro, and Loopy, which I had not tried before. All very useful to visualize planning stages, to organize work, etc., and to share the work and/or do teamwork. It looks like many things can also be done using PowerPoint, but these apps look more dynamic and user friendly (although there seems to be a learning curve). Need to s…[Read more]

    Hello all!

Here are my two cards (hard to pick only two!): https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1IG75G-6mKIm2aSNWFZr9SIJoFq7mKqdk/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=100467415586771377631&rtpof=true&sd=true

I select the first one because oppression is embedded in many aspects of every day’s life but often is not obvious; the second one complements the…[Read more]

Hi, Carlos from BCC, I teach in the Bio Department

After going back and forth a few times, I kept #6, #9, and #15,  which I interpret as different ways to understand how ed tech tools work, and take ownership and control of them. Or, opt for the first choice in the “program or be programmed” view of the world, as #6 states.

The other two are #5…[Read more]

Hi, I’m Carlos, and I’m a Lecturer at the Bio Department. I gave a try to the Commons to house a course site, and then I decided to use ePortfolio, but this was yeeeears ago. I’m excited to see how much it has grown its capabilities! I’ve checked Flipgrid out before but never used it. I used Padlet for broadcasting content, and used it for…[Read more]
