I figured I would reach out to the forum and ask if anyone knows of any Flash Actionscript 3 instructors that may be currently available. I am looking for someone to teach an introductory game design course that we have at LaGuardia. I was originally scheduled to teach the course but will be unable to do so because of grant funded project that I am heading up. The instructor that was going to be my replacement backed out and as a result, I am in a bind. I am hoping that you might know someone that might be a good fit for the class. The course starts in early May and runs for twice a week until June.
The instructor will be responsible for teaching an introductory course in Actionscript 3 programming using game based projects as the course framework. The text that we will be using is the ActionScript 3.0 Game Programming University book by Gary Rosenweig. The book contains all of the necessary weekly projects and lab assignments for the course. I just need someone competent with AS3 to lead this class.
Information on the class is as follows:
HUW169 Internet Game Design
The class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-3:15pm.
First class: March 8th
Last Class: June 2nd
Final Project due on June 9thPay rate is as follows:
Ph.D. or MFA $73.53 x 60 hours = $4411.80
Lecturer $64.84 x 60 = $3890.40Please let me know if you have anyone you could pass my way. Thanks.
