Computing Integrated Teacher Education (CITE) @ CUNY

Rhonda Bondie replied to the topic Module 7 — Hunter College

I agree the article was lots of fun to read. This reading made me think of two connections. One, how a teacher recently expressed concern that students don’t sit with uncertainty after COVID – they just want to google an answer quickly because they know the answer is there – so why think about it. Another teacher wondered if technology is really…[Read more]

I am glad to have this module to think about the meaning of equity and to read your posts. All of the reading made me think about how useful the JEDI framework is for gaining clarity and shared meaning – I wondered if we might begin to develop action steps for our teacher-candidates to add to this document through our CITE applications. Hi Team, Here is my slideshow.

I decided to add to pre-activities to launch the conversation prior to exploring the Liberatory Mindsets. I think that I would also have my students define – learning, thriving, and liberating as outcomes of learning experiences along with core feelings, joy, love, challenge, and freedom.

    Hi Hunter Team,

I tried to sort the cards into large themes – unfortunately, I didn’t read the article with the large themes first! Opps – I wanted to have one card from each of the larger themes that resonated with me – not sure if I achieved that goal – but, I had 20 as my number 1, systems thinking – then I had 8 participation in causes you…[Read more]
