So, this module I actually had a good time with.  I did each of the activities.  I tried to build an algorithm for making oatmeal.   I know while doing this which is something I do so frequently (making oatmeal, that is) I really did engage some computational thinking skills in order to insure that my algorithm would actually produce what I wan…[Read more]

So, after reading through the teacher perspectives, I think my thoughts largely concern the ethics involved in the using, sharing and/or communicating in the digital world.  Students, as well as, the teachers who serve them need to clearly understand the great ethical responsibility that comes with using and creating digital content.  I don’t t…[Read more]

Response continued – I think what I would like to work on would be to support my learners to process any emotions that come with taking risks around computing or technology  and teach them to free themselves to grow as learners and believe in their own abilities and strengths.

I definitely need to challenge myself to work on digital tools.  All t…[Read more]

So in thinking about what I read regarding Equitable CITE Pedagogy (I read the long version), I did see a number of connections between what I read and the spotlights that I chose in module 4 and 5.  First, with Dr. Tribuzio, I saw that she put into place the assessing of process not simply product, giving students a chance to receive feedback…[Read more]

Here is a Module 3 response.  I used Loopy for the first time.  I did this project with my class without technology using post its and charts.  Now I have learned to use a Loopy to show a process design in order to have students create their personal developmental niche.

The five cards I chose were #35, 34, 15,  41 and 45.  They reflected my experience as a principal and the steps I took to teach my teachers about the importance of reaching and teaching “all” students from the place those students were at when they entered their classrooms.  The cards also reflected the need for my teachers to understanding the va…[Read more]

Rosemarie Cipriani replied to the topic General CITE Summer 2023 Q and A

The opening orientation was informative.   I looked over the cards and chose 5 that I thought were most important to me – for example – being able to become fluent in tools to effectively communicate with families, colleagues and other personnel in the field of education.  It can broaden my experiences as an educator.  I enjoyed playing with jam…[Read more]
