Natalie O'Shea replied to the topic Meeting CANCELLED

    Hi Joanna,

I believe you should be able to sign up for a Slack account and once you have an account you would just need to provide the email address you used at sign-up to join the R for Data Science workspace. The url for the workspace is r4ds.slack.com.

I hope this helps… Slack can be a bit confusing to get started with, but great once you…[Read more]

    Hey there R-lovers!

In the wake of all the coronavirus craziness, we have decided to cancel this week’s RUG meeting. We are currently exploring remote options and will get back to you all ASAP about how we plan to move forward with meetings for the rest of the semester.

In the meantime, I encourage you to explore the resources that I shared…[Read more]

Natalie O'Shea started the topic Learning and Community Resources for R

    Hello RUG!

At our last meeting, I shared several useful resources for learning R and plugging into the broader #rstats community.  I’m going to post those links below, but I’d like to encourage you to add any interesting resource that you find here as well!

Also, a quick reminder… we have another RUG meeting this upcoming Friday (assuming the…[Read more]

    Hey RUG!

Looking forward to meeting you all next week at our first meeting of the semester! Just a quick heads up… we’re planning to work through part of the data visualization chapter(https://r4ds.had.co.nz/data-visualisation.html) of R for Data Science(https://r4ds.had.co.nz/). We’ll have some fun with it and figure out how to use hearts for…[Read more]

    Hi everyone,

Now that we’re in December I’m sure you’re all feeling the mounting end-of-semester pressures.  With that in mind, I propose that we delay our first official in-person meeting until the spring semester but I would love to hear some feedback on what topics you’re most interested in working through together.

Natalie O'Shea replied to the topic Meeting Time?

This makes sense given our workshop time, the only issue is that I am not available on Tuesday evenings until late November.  Another option could be meeting on alternating Fridays 3-4:15pm so that individuals in the Python User Group can coordinate with us.  Would love to hear other’s thoughts on this!
