Posted by Elin Waring (she/her) on April 24, 2026 at 1:48 pmHi Everyone,
I wanted to make sure that all of you know about this conference coming up on May 8 at the GC. I know May 8 is also colloquium day, so maybe it’s a good chance to make a day of it! Would love to see people in person.
Normally we would meet on May 1 or May 8. I don’t want to do May 1 and May 8 is also crazy (see paragraph 1).
We also know that there are many students going into their first year of teaching in the fall, so we thought it might be good to focus on that experience. Hence the reading! It would be great if some people would be willing to share.
Lok, Devrim and I were wondering about Tuesday May after the first year statistics class ends, but that might mean meeting at 6? I still need details about this but I’d welcome thoughts from others.Elin
