Designing Migration: Serving Human Mobility and Justice How does the migration system currently operate? How can it be made more equitable? What are the most hazardous aspects of migration? How can design help alleviate those dangers? These questions and more will be explored with some of today’s most significant voices in related fields. Moderated by: Alyshia Galvez, Professor, Doctoral Program in Anthropology, Graduate Center of the City University of New York and Department of Latin American and Latino Studies, Lehman College and Laura Silva, Vice President for Accessibility Technology UX Design Lead, Bank of America. us02web.zoom.usAt the conclusion we will return to the regular zoom link(https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3643415438) to discuss and go over other important class business. We’ll have to do this quickly since we won’t have much time. You will have a built in break from 2:45 to 3 pm.
You can register for all six guest speaker presentations at once. You will have the option of asking questions. The two of us will be able to see your questions and will moderate discussion to make sure that your questions get heard. Please make sure to also post your questions on the discussion forum on Academic Commons so that we can plan in advance how to sequence your questions. You will also be able to ask questions you think of during the presentation, time permitting. Feel free to share the speaker series with friends/family, it is open to the public.

Do you find there are more similarities in real life rather than in science fiction that deliver the better message or is it said medium (sci fi) what is needed to convey the thoughts and issues?
What mediums have you related to or felt a stronger connection when setting the foundation for your discussions?
