I really liked this project too. I didn’t know oysters were so important to NYC waters. What I found really interesting that the oysters have the ability to clean the water they are living in. It was nice to learn more about this project because recently in Long Island old train cars were dumped off the coast in order to create an artificial reef.

I did a project on this topic last semester for my writing for the sciences class. Each time we wash our microfibers and plastics end up in the water used to wash the clothes. These two videos taught me a lot of interesting information. What I found really interesting was that 45 million years ago India collided with Asia and this collision is still going on today. This is causing the Himalayan Mountains to continue growing. I did not know that, and it made me think about how fast the Himalayan Mountains may be growing.…[Read more]
