Reminds me in a way of Walden Two (BF Skinner), and an attempt to perform social engineering in order to influence people to perform tasks based on difficulty, desire or repugnance.

I too am totally bummed! I was hoping to get out of here in order to make it by 11 but now I am still stuck at my desk with administrative hooha.
