Great post-Yom Kippur post, Matt! But shame on me for my ignorance of CUNY Pie! I suppose I can blame my genetic predisposition to lactose intolerance, which, like my genetic predisposition to guilt, has lately […]

Holy shit, Marilyn Weber. So awesome. The world wide weber!

And Difara’s and Totono’s? That’s pretty awesome, I am very jealous. Chicago may have locks and ships and midwestern winds, but it ain’t got DiFara’s. Mic drop.

Hi Marilyn – Thanks for the comment! The East 20s is not a place where I generally expect to find good pizza, so I will definitely add Marta to my list of things to try when I’m in Midtown. The lack of […]

I just sent a message to a Staten Island friend reporting that while I wish there was no such thing as fancy Manhattan pizza (that only has reservation spots open before noon!) I just went to Marta and […]

Food is not place, and pizza is not New York City. But for me, the connection between eating in a place and being in a place is heavy with meaning.

It’s against this backdrop that the most recent installment of […]

Great writeup Luke! Except for the persistent anchovy hate, of course. The group was 40% anchovites this time ’round, so I think you fish haterz are running scared…

Yay for a CUNY Pie outing! It’s been too long. I’m not an enormous fan of the superthin crust, so I’ll vote for Denino’s. But really either is fine. I’m looking forward to good food and good company!

Sarah, thanks for the pizza input! Is your vote for Joe and Pat’s, since you’ve enjoyed it so much before, or for the new experience of Denino’s?

What a great idea, thanks for posting Jody! I’ve never been to Ciro’s, but I have been to Joe and Pat’s several times and the pizza is thin, crispy, fresh, and delicious!
