I hope everyone is keeping their heads above water in this chaotic environment. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone! Now that we have a fair number of responses, we’ve settled on a day and time for RUG meetings: Every other Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, starting this Friday, April 22. For our first meeting, we’re going to keep it casual, where we catch up with what everyone has been doing, hear what you would like out of RUG during this time, and run our own ideas by you. Examples of topics we’re considering are spatial data analysis and visualization, text mining, and working through the free, online R for Data Science book. A couple of days before each online meeting, we will send out a Zoom link alongside links to materials that we are planning for the meeting. In order to receive the Zoom link, you must be a member of RUG on the Commons. Please don’t share this link in any public forum. Zoombombing is always a threat and can be jarring.
