I was curious if anyone has any experience with tools that use OAI-PMH to harvest metadata. I was fooling around with Omeka, which has a plug-in that lets you direct it to a repository (I chose digital collections in the Library of Congress), and was able to ingest a number of collections. I wondered how this would work with an OA journal – what I think would happen is that you get a link to the article, rather than the text itself. This is similar to what I got with LOC – I just got links to the actual images.
