The ePortfolio Field Coming of Age: Knowledge, Research and Practice
AAEEBL’s 2013 Annual ePortfolio Conference coincides with a blossoming of the eportfolio field, its global community and technology development. We see many signs that eportfolio, as an idea and movement, is “coming of age.” While this year’s call for proposals is easier than ever to fill out, we encourage you get a head-start and to begin developing your proposal now, with or without co-proposers.
The Program Committee will review your submissions in teams using a rubric. They provide final judgment on program inclusion and session format. Notification of acceptance is expected to occur around March 15.

Anyone can submit a proposal, including our Corporate Affiliates. Although AAEEBL membership offers generous registration discounts, membership in AAEEBL for academic presenters is not required, but corporate proposers do need to be an AAEEBL Corporate Affiliate to submit a proposal with an academic co-leader.
What are the session format options?
    • 50-minute sessions
    • 25-minute snapshot sessions
    • poster sessions
    • Pecha Kucha Sessions
    • 100-minute workshop sessions
    • 50-minute “Conversations with…” sessions
What publishing opportunities are connected to this conference?
Those who wish to submit a session paper for publication, can do so through The International Journal of ePortfolio. Acceptance to the program does not guarantee publication in IJeP. All conference attendees are encouraged to submit informal pieces, reflections and short conference session papers with links and images to The AAEEBL Learner, AAEEBL’s “informal-scholarly,” bi-monthly newsletter which is distributed to membership first and later made available in an archive.
    When will registration be open?
Registration will open in early March. Lodging options will be offered at the same time. (As usual, we encourage you to register early in order to reserve your preferred lodging.) Attendees at the conference who are affiliated with an AAEEBL institutional member receive a significant registration discount that applies to the first three registrants from one member institution. (You are an AAEEBL member if your institution is on this list, and if you serve as full-time faculty or staff at an institution that belongs to AAEEBL.)
    About AAEEBL
AAEEBL is a service organization, a full-time, year-around professional association for the global eportfolio community with the mission to deepen learning and to transform institutions with eportfolios. We offer two ways to belong to AAEEBL: as an institutional member; or, as a Corporate Affiliate. In both cases, joining supports AAEEBL’s wide range of services to the eportfolio community.
