Department: Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Certificate Program

Job Description: The GC's Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Certificate program is seeking a College Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to the program’s coordinator, Prof. Steve Brier. The job involves working closely with Professor Brier to arrange courses, labs, and events, tracking student progress, processing registration and grade changes, and recruiting new ITP enrollees. Additional duties include schedule coordination, website maintenance, and budgetary spending.

Weekly hours to be determined, but probably around 15 hours/week. The compensation is $20/hour.

The position begins in late August, following a brief training with the current College Assistant.

Working in the ITP program has been a tremendously positive experience. It has given me the opportunity to work with faculty and graduate students in a way that better prepares me for the kind of departmental service I can expect in my future career in academia, it has kept me engaged in the exciting new work coming out of ITP and DH, and it has allowed me to develop my technical and pedagogical skills in a supportive environment. I would be more than happy to talk about my experiences with anyone interested in the position.
