Hello all. I have not gotten around to updating the schedule online, but I wanted to let everyone know of a few changes that I know I will be making.

First, I have made the decision that there will be no more class facilitations/PowerPoints. So, if you were scheduled to facilitate the discussion for an upcoming class, that means that you DO NOT have to do it.

Since I want to be fair to those of who you did their class facilitations when we were still meeting, I am offering that anyone who already went can have an extra free pass on writing the weekly class reflections. That means anyone who already facilitated a discussion is allowed to skip two weekly reflections total for the semester without losing points.

The next thing I want to tell you is that since your paper is due on April 7th, you will not have any reading due for class that day. I am shifting everything forward, so we will resume with a discussion of the March 25th readings. The schedule when we return will start out as follows:

4/7 Educational Equity I: The Resegregation of Public Schools
4/15 Educational Equity II: The Achievement Gap and Curriculum Tracking

Again, all if this will be updated on the website in the next few days, but I wanted to let you know of these changes ASAP so you could concentrate on your papers without worrying about reading and posting reflections.

Hopefully this is all clear, but if you have any questions, let me know.

    Francine
