Interest in getting institutional support for hackathons?
Posted by Collette Sosnowy on October 18, 2012 at 4:45 pmThis message is from Suzanne Tamang:
Although in its infant stages, there is a idea to develop a STF proposal to request that funds be set aside for ad-hoc student groups, chartered orgs or departments to have hackathons type events at the GC. There seems to be a growing interest from across disciplines, and a lack of resources for students to organize these events as much as they’d like. In addition to providing financial resources, this proposal would ideally help to foster a `culture of hacking’ at our school (as Evan so nicely phrased it).
There are four of us right now, but I think it would be great to get more students involved. If anyone might be interested in working with us, please contact Evan’s @ [email protected], or me @ [email protected].
