Promoting GC Digital Initiatives

  Hi All,

  I recently had a few opportunities to promote some of our digital initiatives and wanted to share the news with you.

  1. I was asked to give an overview of GC Digital Initiatives at the new student orientation today — exciting to be able to address 400+ new students at this early moment in their graduate careers! As I showcased some of our collective efforts, I asked incoming students to think about how their disciplines are changing in response to (or along with) digital technologies and urged them to incorporate digital tools into their work.   2. The Graduate Center publications team did a nice story on our new digital fellows program and the provost’s digital innovation grants program. I think it came out well. You can see the story in two places:

  It’s great to see such news spreading. Let’s use this group as a way of keeping one another apprised of new work as we continue to build out the GC’s digital identity.
