WordPress HELP!!

This group is for neophytes to WordPress who are trying to use it as a Bbd alternative and have questions that “everyone knows” the answers to already. Except those who don’t. Quick answers to specific questions is what I envision here, so we can set up our courses without spending hours trying to find out a simple answer. Of course, we NEED EXPERTS in the group to actually answer the questions. All experts and neophytes please join this group!!

Sticky homepage post using Fresh News theme?

    Hi everyone,

    The Games Network sometimes has the need to make a post stick to the top of our homepage. Does anyone know how to do that in the Fresh News theme? I see the wp-sticky plugin but am wary since it looks like it hasn’t been updated in a while, and I feel like I’ve tried it in the past with mixed results. Any info anyone can share is most appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Maura – I think on the right hand side of the post page in the dashboard there is a section called “Publish”. In there is a hyperlink called “Visibility”. If you click that, you will see a check box that says “Stick this post to the front page”. I think that should do it. See attached screenshot.
