Digital Humanities Initiative

The CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative (CUNY DHI), launched in Fall 2010, aims to build connections and community among those at CUNY who are applying digital technologies to scholarship and pedagogy in the humanities. All are welcome: faculty, students, and technologists, experienced practitioners and beginning DHers, enthusiasts and skeptics.

We meet regularly on- and offline to explore key topics in the Digital Humanities, and share our work, questions, and concerns. See our blog for more information on upcoming events (it’s also where we present our group’s work to a wider audience). Help edit the CUNY Digital Humanities Resource Guide, our first group project. And, of course, join the conversation on the Forum.

THATcamp

  • Hello everyone,
At the last meeting I mentioned my pending participation in THATcamp New England, and I found out this week that I will be attending. If memory serves me, a few of you will also be venturing to Boston for the event. Any interest in carpooling or traveling together? Let me know…
Also, here is the site for those of you who would like more information:

    Thank you!

  • That’s great, Amanda, congratulations!!
Question: any tips for those of us thinking of applying to other THATCamps?

Fantastic! I’m attending but will be traveling by train. Looking forward to seeing you there!

I’ll also be attending and I’ll be driving up, although I’m not entirely sure of my scheduled just yet. Amanda– check back in with me as the date gets closer?
