Posted by Maggie Schreiner (she/they) on October 9, 2025 at 5:04 pmHello all,
I am pleased to announce that the 2025 CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative Lightning Talks is coming up on Tuesday, October 28th from 6:30-8pm (in person at the GC and remote on Zoom). Please see below for more information on presenting a 3 minute / 3 slide presentation about your digital humanities project at the event. You can also register to attend as a spectator. In either case, this is a great way to learn about the many digital projects happening across the CUNYverse! (Registration quick link here).
Thanks,
Maggie Schreiner

As a presenter, you will have the option to either present live over Zoom or join us in person at CUNY Graduate Center. We welcome first-time presenters, as well as those who have participated in past CUNY DHI Lightning Talks. Learn more about some projects and past presentations on the CUNY DHI website.

Digital Humanities Initiative
The CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative (CUNY DHI), launched in Fall 2010, aims to build connections and community among those at CUNY who are applying digital technologies to scholarship and pedagogy in the humanities. All are welcome: faculty, students, and technologists, experienced practitioners and beginning DHers, enthusiasts and skeptics.
We meet regularly on- and offline to explore key topics in the Digital Humanities, and share our work, questions, and concerns. See our blog for more information on upcoming events (it’s also where we present our group’s work to a wider audience). Help edit the CUNY Digital Humanities Resource Guide, our first group project. And, of course, join the conversation on the Forum.
