I’m a doctoral candidate in Cultural Anthropology at The Graduate Center. My dissertation research examines the expanding field of psychological counselling in Sri Lanka’s public health sector, focusing on how gender and class relations as well as everyday ethics of care shape therapeutic practice and its social effects.
