I have lived in the world of typewriters and laptops. AOL and Instagram. I still do not feel 100% confident when using technology. I am comfortable with the repetitive aspect of it, but to understand sites in all of its entirety…no. I know that I under-utilize the sites that I visit and the insight that can be gained from understanding their…[Read more]

One of the goals that resonated with me was: Push back on white mainstream assimilative schooling. Seek to affirm, build on, extend learners’ linguistic and cultural practices.
Some of us may be in positions to audit curriculum, policies, placements, and budgeting to ensure the institution has the capacity for computing integration, that all s…[Read more]

I enjoyed this! I already see how I can use this as an artifact for students who want to journal their experiences while student teaching. They can even add pictures. Dope!

    Greetings,

I am grateful for the opportunity to be exposed to sites I have never heard of or used before. I chose to utilize Loopy and it through me for a loop.

I still have not totally figured out the plus or the minus signs but I think I have created a way for students to think about how their childhood experiences can contribute to their own…[Read more]

You always know how to create low stakes writing assignments that allow students to reflect and think about the work they are doing. I always “steal” your ideas for my discussion boards during the semester.

    Hi Everyone,

I am late in responding but I did get the opportunity to play the game. I did not receive the deck, so I randomly began by choosing some numbers and I scrolled to each of those initially. Once I got started, I then began deciding which cards to choose versus “discard”. My favorites were:
    1, 3, 5, 6, 34 and a bonus 43.

    These cards…[Read more]

Hello, my name is Michele Bonna (she/her) and I am an adjunct lecturer in the Teacher & Learning Department at BMCC. I did not realize how much I would struggle to understand this site, but I believe I am slowly getting the hang of it. I am curious about the other digital platforms. I created my first Flip and I think it’s such a fun tool.
