LINDA GERENA
Dr. Gerena is a Professor in the World Languages, Literatures and Humanities Department at York College. She is the immediate past Interim Chair in the Department of Teacher Education at York College. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy/Bilingual Education, MAs in TESOL, and Urban Bilingual Education. Her professional interests are Dual Immersion Bilingual Education, L1 Support and Maintenance, Language Acquisition Theory & Pedagogy, Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP), Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), International Efforts to Improve Pedagogy, & Effective Teaching Practices.
