Jake Cohen

My research interests all concern music and place. My dissertation examines New England identity and changing perceptions of urban and rural in American classical music around the turn of the 20th century. Other interests include American popular music such as Talking Heads, Grateful Dead, and Phish, contemporary classical music, and ecomusicology.
