    Hello,

I would love the option of using the WP Google Fonts plugin to customize the look of some of the text on a site I am starting to build, particularly the header.

Also, with other sites that I have built outside the Commons, I have used the CSS @ font-face generator by Font Squirrel — http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator — am I correct that this is not an option on the Commons bc I don’t have FTP access?

    Thanks,
    Claire

Hi Claire – I guess the short answer is – it depends. The Commons itself does not currently provide these fonts – though it may include a library of them in the future. But some themes support them. I think all the Woo Themes have a settings section called “General Typography” – which lists the Google fonts. (I think some Woo Themes might offer more Google fonts than others [i.e. compare the Canvas theme with the Simplicity theme – Simplicity has many more].) I don’t know about other themes – it is certainly possible that some do as well. I don’t really that much about these fonts – all I know I’ve learned from Chris Stein ( @cstein) 🙂

Also – if this doesn’t work for you – by all means submit a ticket to request the WP Google Fonts plugin on Redmine – http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/projects/cunyac
