    An interesting idea that has been circulating since November 8 is that all colleges and universities should automatically register all incoming students to vote. This would be an excellent way to increase participation and engagement.

    But where would we begin to move that forward here at CUNY? I expect it would be a campus by campus process and even then it sounds like a big lift. Is it even legal? Students would have to be able to opt out I would imagine.
