    Join us for a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop to explore Manifold, a powerful platform for creating multimedia digital projects. No prior experience required!

    Workshop Overview:

    The first hour will introduce you to the platform’s variety of projects and core features, including:

    • Building interactive projects for teaching, scholarly writing, and archives that integrate text, images, audio, and video.
    • Engaging readers through social annotation directly in the margins of your work.
    • Developing custom OER course materials, digital texts, and journals using CUNY’s Manifold platform.

    In the second hour, you’ll have a chance to dive in to the backend of Manifold, where you’ll:

    • Learn how to start your own Manifold project
    • Upload texts (EPUB, Word, Google Docs) and explore the new text editor
    • Add multimedia resources to enhance your project
    • Learn how to customize your project’s design and structure

    CUNY’s Manifold instance is a free digital publishing tool available to the entire CUNY community. Whether you’re creating an OER, developing a journal, or designing course readers, this workshop will equip you to bring your ideas to life in dynamic new ways.
