Library users are approaching me about how to get on to databases through the apps the database vendors supply. This is problematic with the databases that do not allow users to create accounts. Lexis Nexis is one example. They have many apps here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/mobile/.

I suggest as an alternative that the users set up an icon on their mobile device linking to the mobile version of the database web site and give them the URL to use that includes our EZ-Proxy prefix.

This should work OK, but I am wondering if anyone has figured out other alternatives.
