To all doctoral students in their 2nd to 6th year at The Graduate Center:

The Doctoral Student Research Grant (DSRG) program will be offering grants once again to students this academic year. The deadline for proposals is January 31, 2014 and the year during which awardees may spend their funds (the award period) will begin on June 1.

Applicants may submit a budget of between $250 and $1,500 for projects that advance their research. Please view the grant program guidelines at:
    http://www.gc.cuny.edu/CUNY_GC/media/CUNY-Graduate-Center/PDF/Research%20Funding/DSRGguidelines.pdf

Proposals are due January 31, 2014 by the end of the day (12:00 midnight). That is also the deadline for an emailed Letter of Support from your faculty research mentor to your EO. Look over the guidelines carefully and if you are eligible and interested in applying, now is the time to consider who will be your faculty research mentor and how you will arrange for your mentor to review your proposal and submit the required Letter. The guidelines include details and suggested language for the Letter.
