CUNY Eportfolio Symposium

First CUNY Eportfolio Symposium

APRIL 12, 2013

This will not be a “conference” in the usual sense, but an active collaboration of colleagues from across CUNY. Rather than presentations, we will focus on discussion and sharing to explore the various contexts, challenges, and solutions CUNY campuses are using to approach eportfolios for teaching, learning, research and assessment.

We need to hear your voice and want to invite you to join the conversation! Space will be very limited, so if you’re interested in attending, please use this form to register for an invitation.

The CUNY Syllabus Project Update: Initial Findings & Call for More Syllabi!

    THE CUNY SYLLABUS PROJECT
    (http://syllabus.commons.gc.cuny.edu)

    Greetings!

Earlier this year we launched the CUNY Syllabus Project, a collaborative database for the CUNY pedagogical community that explores the learning pathways that educators at the CUNY campuses create through their syllabi. We’re excited to share an update about the progress of the project with you!

Over the past five months, we’ve received syllabi submissions from educators all over the CUNY system. Our database currently contains syllabi that represent 22 disciplines from 13 CUNY campuses over a span of nine years, from 2008-2016. We’ve posted a preliminary analysis of our initial dataset on our blog: http://syllabus.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2016/08/30/all-about-our-syllabi-round-one

We invite you to take a look at our data analysis, and we hope that you will consider submitting a syllabus (or two!) to theproject to help us continue to build our database. You can read more about the CUNY Syllabus Project on our website:http://syllabus.commons.gc.cuny.edu/about

We invite contributions of syllabi (http://syllabus.commons.gc.cuny.edu/submit) from courses taught throughout CUNY from any department or discipline, any course level or topic, at any time in CUNY's history. The more submissions we receive the more dynamic our database will become, and the more significant and meaningful data we will be able to share with the CUNY community.

The goal of the CUNY Syllabus Project is to empower teachers to be able to be more creative and innovative with their pathway building. Please contribute for a chance to make a lasting impression on the pedagogical future of CUNY!

    Submit your syllabi today! http://syllabus.commons.gc.cuny.edu/submit

And please be on the lookout for an update about our syllabus repository – coming soon!
