If you’re working with data related to location or movement, maps are an incredibly useful tool for visualizing, analyzing, and communicating spatial research. Join us as we demystify the magic behind map-making in this one-and-a-half-hour introductory workshop on basic concepts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Participants will
- Become familiar with foundational concepts for mapping and spatial analysis;
- Learn how to create and find spatial data;
- Learn how to decide which mapping software is best for their individual projects.
