More ways to participate! “Open Scholarship for Social Justice”

  • Dear Colleagues,

Many thanks to everyone who joined us today for Ideas in Circulation: Open Scholarship for Social Justice. Thanks especially to the Library for co-sponsoring; to April Hathcock, Matt Gold, and Michelle Fine for sharing their work; and to Steve Zweibel and Allison Guess for leading such a powerful discussion.

The conversation doesn’t have to end just because the workshop is over. There are a few ways that you can continue to contribute to the discussion, whether or not you were able to join us today:

    • Take part in the student-led online discussion group, which will remain open for the next three weeks.
    • Add your lingering comments and questions to our collaborative Google Doc. We tried to capture the contributions of everyone who spoke during the session or chimed in via Twitter, but if we missed your contribution (or if you’d like to add something), please add it!
    • Read and continue tweeting at the #fight4edu hashtag

In the days ahead, we’ll post an edited video and a recap post with photos. Watch futuresinitiative.org for more.

We hope to see you at our next workshop, “Credentials or Learning? Measuring What Counts,” which will take place on Wednesday, March 2 from 1-2pm. See you then!

    Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
    Katina
