Dear EC,

Per our last meeting, we’re hoping to secure an EC member to join two guest editors, Gabriel Hankins and Matthew Hannah, to work on a Special Issue on Digital Labor Activism and Pedagogy. The Call for Papers for Issue 25 should go out in the next week or so, so we need to get moving on this. Some details:

Issue 25 is slated to be published December 2024.

Schedule: The CFP would be open now until roughly April-May. Articles arrive in May (choose which to review, secure reviewers, send to for review), Mid-Aug get pieces back (synthesize feedback); decisions end of Aug; edit pieces/ask for revisions; December review revisions, write introduction, support staging.

Intense periods for editors would be: May & end of August & early December

To give everyone a sense of how often collective members step forward to steer an issue: it’s once every five issues or so (I’m pasting the list of the last ten issues for easier reference). The special issues are italicized.
