INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Political Campaign

  • Milsa Stein,  the Campaign Manager for Tony Avella who is running for City Council District 19 here in Northeast Queens (Whitestone, College Point, Bayside, Little Neck, Douglaston, and parts of North Flushing), reached out to say:

We are looking for student interns to help us do outreach and talk to voters.  This would include phone banking, fundraising, canvassing, representing us at events and generally talking to the public.  This is a great experience for any student who is looking to start their career in politics.  It is very short term.  We are going to be canvassing everyday until election day November 7th.  It is an unpaid opportunity and I would like to start accepting applicants as soon as possible.  Letters of recommendation can be written for all students who choose to help out our campaign.  We would only want 3-15 hours a week.

For any questions and applicants can send their resume directly to Ms. Stein:  milsa@nsstrategey.com

For those in this program, you could use this entry-level, political campaign opportunity to work your way into doing DATA ANALYSIS, something that political campaigns always need. Could be a good opportunity if you’re interested in local politics.
