ABI Faculty Seminar Series – Summer 2023

Private Group active 2 months, 2 weeks ago

In this seminar, BMCC and Hunter colleagues from all disciplines will explore how to integrate students’ sense of purpose and belonging, and racial/cultural experiences into our teaching practice. This seminar will explore how we can better catalyze our students’ sense of connection to our course content, their own identities, and each other through meaningful teaching activities, while also working to meet our own professional and personal demands. Through guided discussions, guest speakers, and independent and group project time, participants will learn, discuss, and reflect on their students’ classroom experiences and then create and share a teaching innovation (e.g. class activity, assignment/project, teaching tool, etc.) for a course they plan to teach in Fall 2023 or later.
