How does the griot regard humankind?

Griot regards humankind as a fickle which does make sense and still happens today. When Sundiata is prophesied to be a hero but he is handicapped when he was younger people made fun of him and doubted what might happen or what he would be able to do and spread rumors and that spreads quickly and people run with it. However, once some people views something different and its favored then that makes other follow. People always want to feel like they belong somewhere so they end up following where most people may be. In the story the people need a hero and so when he becomes a hero he will be followed and supported by people. I prefer people just following what they themselves believe in.
