I believe the 26th amendment is a great amendment that was  added to the constitution because it allowed adults the age of 18 or older the right to vote. this amendment was passed by congress march 23 1971 it is worded very similarly to the 15 amendment which prohibits the states to deny the right to vote to those of different race.it is very important that young people the age of 18 are given the right to vote because many young adults that have just entered college might be interested in politics.It is also important because they decide their future governer, president, major ,people that are elected to congress which ultimately decide the laws passed so it is a major requirement that young people vote.
