SCRT Fall Meeting (10/1)

  • Hi All!

This is the official announcement for the first SCRT meeting of the Fall, which will take place on October 1, from 3:00-5:00 PM.

Sadly, since we’re meeting online, we can’t provide refreshments, but we CAN promise a lively discussion!   Please see the agenda below:

    • Check in — What’s happening in your scholcomm life?
    • Election of a new co-chair
    • Brainstorming ideas for 2020-2021 events and activities

Please reach out to us with any additional agenda items!

Also, as the agenda indicates — we’re looking for a new co-chair (Jill is stepping down). Please consider throwing your hat in the ring! If you have any questions about co-chairing this committee, please reach out to Jill (jcirasella@gc.cuny.edu) and me (nfoasberg@qc.cuny.edu)

  • Apologies to everyone:

I wrote: 3:00-5:00, but I meant to write 3:30 to 5:00. Apologies for the error!

Also, it occurs to me that it would have been clever to have included the information for actually joining the meeting. Here it is:

Thanks, Nancy! I’ll just add that co-chairing SCRT is a great way to ensure that scholcomm-minded folks around CUNY have an opportunity to share ideas and successes, and also a great way to contribute to the CUNY collective knowledge about scholcomm. Curious about a new tool, unclear about the nuances of another, unsure what you think about certain approaches or initiatives? Everybody else probably is too! Co-chairing SCRT is the perfect way to make space for those outward-looking and future-looking conversations.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions!
    Jill
