  so, CLEARLY , one has to have the right pieces of battery-filled and up to date machinery to have the mind working BUT HOW FORTUNATE JOSH IS WITH US, and Chris and all who have chipped in their working minds and some day I can recount all I can’t recount now, however the issue of Dorothy’s journal AND ITS ADDRESS has concerned many hours of. wondering and leads to the issue we are right on of the direction of our cards (however we shuffle them, postally or not) and letteral wonderings

  we are glad, I think, not to have known to whom, singular or plural, Jacques Derrida’s missives were or pretended they were addressed to

  and those of us who keep or kept journals with or without sonnets responding to or provoked by them are all involved’

  so maybe THAT and much of that we can keep with us

  Josh has been, for years and years, the one most informally to gather with to learn and exchange the most

  (about translation and fractals and guitars, and I remember wanting to celebrate him in the Oyster Bar, with Alyson Waters, and so much else)

  so let me salute all of you for gathering, especially since I have No Idea who Exactly we All Are, it said 21 and we started at 7 , no matter, let us bring to us what we think collectively we might share

  me is Henry James (of whom we have no recording) scolding us Americans for our slurring our speech

  since he had become English (forget Brexit, of no concern to him) and our saying yeah and yep for yes

  How not to love it?
