The Group for Group Admins

A meta-group for all of the Commons’ group admins so that the CUNY Academic Commons team can share information and keep you updated about changes to the site (and especially the Group interface). This group will also provide a way for us to get feedback from you about features you’d like to see added and ways we can improve the Group functionality.

Group library revamped in new Commons release

    Hello all, quick FYI that yesterday the Commons development team released new features and a revamped design for what we’re calling the library. Basically, we’ve streamlined the place where a group’s members can share items with each other. You’ll see a Library link now in your group sidebar. Shared items are things like uploaded files, editable docs and a new ability to share external links (think Google Drive, Dropbox and Zoom, but any link works!).

    This news post has a full rundown of the changes. We’ve also added the ability to clone sites, which could be of interest to any of you who are also the admin of a Commons site you might want to duplicate for a new projects.
