The next meeting of the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable will be Monday, March 23 @ 10am-noon (location TBA). (Thanks to those who voted in the Doodle poll, and apologies to those for whom this time doesn’t work.) We will begin the meeting with a discussion of these two articles — please read them ahead of time if you can:

We will follow the article discussion with an open conversation about scholcomm at CUNY and beyond.

Also, this isn’t an SCRT event, but it might appeal to scholcomm-minded folks: a “pop-up salon” with Sarah Lamdan (librarian and professor at CUNY School of Law, and author of Librarianship at the Crossroads of ICE Surveillance):

    Pop-up Salon: Surveillance and Research
    Wednesday, March 18 @ 6-7pm
Graduate Center, Mina Rees Library, 1st floor

We hope you can make one or both of these events!

Here’s an update to the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable meeting for Monday, March 23. This meeting will be held online from 10am-noon. We hope you can make it! We’ll send out the WebEx link as soon as we have it.

Please see below for more details about the meeting!  One more thing to keep in mind – Jill will be stepping down as co-chair after this semester, so please think about whether you’d be interested in serving as co-chair! We’ll talk about this more in the meeting.

    Hope to see you online!

    Yet another update:

Given how hectic, stressful, and scary this week is for all of us, we’re canceling the Scholarly Communications Roundtable online meeting scheduled for March 23. We will reschedule it for a calmer time.

    Thanks,
    Jill and Nancy
