    You are invited to join a discussion with Dr. Ira Shor regarding his foundational text on Critical Pedagogy in Schools. Collaborating with Paulo Friere, Dr. Shor wrote Empowering Education: Critical Teaching for Social Change in 1992. In his book, he applies Freire’s philosophy of education as liberation for classroom use. Please join us on Thursday, February 23 from 6:00-8:00 pm in room 4406 for an engaging discussion on transforming education. Attendees are invited to read chapters of the book (attached) and bring questions for discussion. Look forward to seeing you there!
