This semester has been what I have not expected to be when I wanted to go to college. What has caused this change will be the pandemic that is currently still happening and it has limited the amount of contact we are supposed to have. This has made me think about how am I going to pay attention and get work done when I start going to classes in person because of the amount of time I have spent in my house taking online classes. But I really hope you break out of this shell and be able to be focused on my classes more when I go to campus. This has gotten me thinking about how I’m going to get the real college experience that I would like to get to know of and there will be many new things that I would need to get used to since I’m new to these websites from this semester.

Our first assignment was to write a Narrative essay. This would get us thinking about how science catches our attention and to be able to explain what we would like to improve in. This has gotten me thinking about how it catches my attention and I started writing down about how I take care of physical injuries and be the type of person to be able to talk to also to be able to get a better understanding of what to do next. It has also has gotten me thinking about how there are so many topics in the scientific world that I haven’t even heard of and I would like to get a small understanding of what it does and what causes it. I have started thinking of what field I would like to follow to get a better understanding of what I want to do in the future and to be able to help other people that are in need.

The second assignment was to write an Exploratory essay. This essay was about getting us ready to be able to write about a topic that has gotten us interested. The topic that I wrote about was how scientists recently have made a pancreas by using cancerous pancreatic cells. This has gotten me interested because they were able to grow a pancreas from a patient that has pancreatic cancer. This has given me a reason to write about this is because pancreatic cancer is the most dangerous cancer there is and would like to make medicine to counteract pancreatic cancer. The reason why is to be able to use the artificial pancreas to find the right medicine to be able to counteract pancreatic cancer and to be able to give hope to those that will get pancreatic cancer that there is going to be a medicine for pancreatic cancer after the project has found the right medicine to be able to give those who have this cancer.

In the final assignment, I have to write a bibliography in APA format. It was completely new to me and I will have to try my best to be able to complete it. I finished it in a total of 7 pages, in these seven pages I wrote about how using the scientific evidence from the result of pancreatic cancer can result in having more projects to be able to make more medicine for other cancers. I have also written about how they are making these results and that it can help other people that have cancer and the different procedures that they have to go through to be able to get the results that they want to get in order to continue to go on with the project. I still will need to work on this more since this is the first time to use this format and I have tried my best to be able to make a good essay out of it.

To be able to do these essays has given me the experience of what type of essay I would have to write. I would still need to get used to writing other forms of format that I haven’t even used and the APA format has given me the experience to know how it needs to be done. The research has given me the experience to be able to use the articles that have my interest and to be able to do more research to be able to aid me with the essays I would have to do. I will have to try my very best to write good essays in the future.
