    In collaboration with eight of CUNY’s senior campuses, Macaulay Honors College (MHC) provides the most promising undergraduate students with an elite academic program of interdisciplinary seminars, personalized advisement, and experiential learning supported by dedicated funding for study abroad, internships, and research. With an enrollment of approximately 2,100 students distributed on campuses across the five boroughs of New York City, Macaulay’s student body embraces the diversity of New York and represents the best and brightest of our next generation of leaders.

    The Macaulay Honors College Office of Institutional Research seeks a part -time motivated Institutional Research Assistant to work in a dynamic environment. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of databases and will assist with the maintenance, management and updating of the Macaulay Honors College student information.

    The contract title for this position is Non-Teaching Adjunct, Level 1. The incumbent will work up to 225 hours per semester for Fall/Spring and approximately 15 hours per week.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Assisting with preparation and dissemination of reports and presentations as needed;
    • Assisting with updating database information;
    • Working with multiple large datasets;
    • Formatting and processing data using Excel;
    • Assisting in departmental or college wide projects as these develop;
    • Assisting in the development of surveys;
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    While this position is currently remote, the selected finalist is expected to have access to a laptop/computer, internet, and phone access to perform most job duties and responsibilities. Upon return to normal campus operations, this position may transition to our physical office 35 West 67th Street, NY, NY 10023.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s Degree required.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

    A preferred candidate should have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in social science/research, statistics or related field.
    • Experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
    • Experience with databases – Access, Oracle.
    • Experience with SPSS, Stata, R or other data analysis tools.
    • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
    • Detail, results, and solution oriented.
    • Ability to communicate results and collaborate with other professionals.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    COMPENSATION

    $45.58/hr-$49.32/hr

Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
