embed Sketchfab 3d models and quizlet quetions

  I would like help on two problems:

  1. How to embed 3D models from Sketchfab into a page. The faculty embedded the Sketchfab URL into a page, it reports an error,

  2. Embed quizlet question set (quizlet.com) into a site using HTML block. It works in the edit mode, but disappears when published or previewed. Will you let me know how to solve this issue?

  Hi – For the sketchfab issue, embeds are supported on WordPress.com, so if you install the JetPack plugin, you should be able to just paste https://sketchfab.com/models/221a604282d449978cbcc4b5351bfe18 onto a new line and it should embed.

  Thank you for this suggestion. I installed JetPack but had the same problem. Do I need to set up JetPack?

  Hi Van – yes, you will need to get a WordPress.com account, but you do not need to create a site on WordPress.com. Here are directions to get Jetpack working: https://help.commons.gc.cuny.edu/jetpack/

  For quizlet, the embed process involves the use of iframes, which is a security risk on the Commons. To get around this, our Dev team generally builds a handler. I will request this. It will take a little time, since it will require a maintenance release. I will let you know when it is available.
