Walter Dufresne

ex-adjunct assistant professor of advertising design and graphic arts

I work as a commercial photographer from Brooklyn, New York. I mostly photograph architecture and interiors for commercial and institutional real estate owners and developers. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1957, I was schooled in photography in Rochester, New York and educated in photography in New Haven, Connecticut.

Academic Interests

My chief academic interest is the [graphic arts] since, oh, about the time and work of [Albrecht Durer]. The graphic arts were already more than compelling when reproducing hand made pictures, so I’m intoxicated by these newer pictures that don’t appear made by hand, these newer pictures recorded by machines, these newer pictures we call [photographs]. Photographs are so prolific this last half century that I’m now inebriated all the time.
