Associate Professor at College of Staten Island

My research interests lie in the use of unlabeled or background knowledge in the aid of text classification. This cutting edge research combines the areas of statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and information retrieval. I am interested in CS education as well. I have taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses, coordinated the first CS course for many years, and developed the CS course for non-computer science majors at CSI.
