First-year UE PhD student / 8th year NYCDOE teacher

AKA: Nisa. I’m a 2nd year PhD student in the Urban Education program as part of Cohort 20. I also am in my 9th year of teaching at The International High School at Prospect Heights, a small public school for Multilingual Learners. My interests revolve around language: translanguaging, creole languages, home languages, and transnational identity.
