Lecturer in the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at CUNY Guttman

Hello there! I lecture on NYC history and related topics at CUNY, work as a tour guide at the Museum of the City of New York, and run my own walking tour company/storytelling project called New York Narratives. I’d be happy to chat about anything related to New York City, urban life, cities, and culture with you. Prior to teaching, my background was as a community organizer focusing on issues related to civil rights and civic engagement. I am also a language and religion nerd, holding a master’s in Islamic Studies from Columbia University.
