PhD Candidate in Musicology, The Graduate Center & Adjunct Lecturer, Queens College

Madison is a Ph.D. candidate in Musicology at the CUNY Graduate Center. Her dissertation centers on representations of in/fertility and the politicization of procreation in German operas of the early 20th century. Her broader research engages with disability and feminist theory, receiving a certificate in Women’s Studies while at the Graduate Center. Madison is also an adjunct lecturer at CUNY Queens College and The School of Visual Arts (SVA), teaching seminars on opera, music writing, women in music, and introductory music coursework.
